[Famous for it feroucious sword fights, ad libs, topical references and audience participation, the play has been performed every boxing day for 40 years and prior to that virtually every year since about 1880, when the play was probably lifted from another local village. Truly traditional in that the performers tend not to Morris dancers, but solely Mummer once a year.]

Apparently the only mummers play where Father Christmas is killed. Full of full blooded sword fights, local jokes, rustic humour and ad libs. Mentioned in all the best guuidebooks on mumming.]
