Monkseaton Morris Men perform on New Years Day 2004 at 12:00 noon outside the Ship Inn, Monkseaton, Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, England.

The swords are then drawn out "killing" the Musician

The performance is the Ampleforth Longsword Dance from North Yorkshire, which includes a mummers' play. In the play, the musician, symbolising the old year is "killed" off by the dancing soldiers and then brought back to life by the Clown.
